Student Voices….Student Bill Of Rights

The Student Bill of Rights (SBR) is a document created by Metro High School students in which the voices of students will be heard. This document covers a wide range of topics, including level of expectation, preparing students for the future, safety, fair discipline, accountability of teachers, students being responsible, etc.

The Student Bill Of Rights, overseen by Oasis Community Impact, wants to push the acceleration of students voices in school board meetings, mayor functions, school events, and most importantly within the community. Most adults perceive us Young Adults that we are incapable to be leaders in the community, but they are out to change that. With leaders who want to see change within their school, community, and city, the SBR is the place for you. For more information, contact Zuki Modunkwu, OCI coordinator at mmodunkwu_oci@yahoo.com.
